The body was found in the Susquehanna River near New Cumberland Borough around 7:25 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, as detailed by the Swatara Township Police in a release that morning.
An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday morning and the coroner explained the body was that of a man "who died of freshwater drowning," as stated in the release.
His identification "is still pending," the coroner said.
His manner of death remains under investigation, according to the release.
The death investigation is being led by the Swatara Township Police with the assistance of the New Cumberland River Rescue, the Dauphin County Coroners Office, and the New Cumberland Borough Police Department in this investigation.
